The new Craft Barn Dictionary Challenge letter is P en I picked the word Portrait. I decided to draw my daughter from the picture I used in the layout under this post. I taped it to the window and drew the outlines with a millimeter pencil. Then I started colouring with Copics. It was a big job, but I am pretty pleased with the result. It really looks like my daughter.
I then diluted acrylic paint and splattered that over the page with a brush. I found the quote on the Internet, printed it out and accentuated with a felt tip pen. I added charcoal accents after gluing the words down. I did use fixative to prevent it from rubbing off on the portrait.
De stamping ink I used for the leaves and borders is a new colour by Stazon called Teal Blue. Isn't it stunning?! I will be entering this one at the Craft Barn (obviously) and will see if I can find some other challenges to enter into. Have a great weekend everyone!
